A12 Possum Success – Christchurch City Council

Christchurch City Council Ranger Kenny describes their successful project at Horseshoe Lake Reserve, Christchurch, with a line of A12 Possum Traps. 10 traps were set around the reserve. Returning to refresh the possum lure a month after setting the traps, 30 possums had been killed and Kenny was surprised to find a pile of 13 possums under one trap. He couldn't wait a full month to check again and found another 5 piled up. Two weeks later one more. Kenny also describes the benefits of a multiple kill system and how he does not have to check the A12 traps as regularly he would have to with other devices.
