Rain on Venus is quite different from what we experience here on Earth. Venus is a planet that is very hot and has a thick atmosphere. The atmosphere on Venus is made up mostly of carbon dioxide, with clouds made of sulfuric acid. Scientists have discovered that Venus does experience rainfall, but it’s not like the rain we’re used to. Instead of water droplets, the rain on Venus is made up of sulfuric acid droplets. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. By the time these acid droplets reach the surface of Venus, they don’t actually reach the ground as raindrops like we see on Earth. Instead, they evaporate before they even get close to the surface. The extreme heat on Venus, which is hotter than the hottest oven, big causes the rain to vaporize and turn back into gas even before it hits the ground. #venus #venusrain #rain #rainfall #space #universe #astronomy #astro #astrophile
