Sorry about the video quality, this is handheld with my mobile phone. I put this video together quickly as I had several comments about the Lloytron battery charger I was using to try to charge the battery pack with the Fast Lane Hover Glider I recently purchased in a charity shop. I see these chargers are still available on Amazon and eBay but I am not specifically recommending them for this project. I just happened to have them already so I modified the battery pack so I could use them. You could buy the right charger for this battery pack for a similar price. With the battery pack plugged into my second Lloytron charger which only has a single 9v socket and measuring at the teed connector it is holding steady at 11 volts while it charges. I have two 9v 250 mAh batteries plugged into the double socket charger and I have just measured the batteries after 6 hours and they show 9.6 and 9.7 volts but the instructions say they need 13 hours for a full charge. Measuring the output from that charger with no load I get 12 volts. deslomeslager had commented The 11 Volt is enough, but the batteries did not get charged much. If you find some time, keep using the charger several times until it does not shut itself off, and/or until the batteries get hand warm. But if the batteries were not charged for a to long period, then they will go bad. There still is a way to do it, it would involve pinching through the plastic with an iron or copper piece, so you can access one AA battery at a time and charge it up. And yes, I know, it is a lot of work. But if charging them one at a time works, I am sure you can recharge them on the 9Volt charger later on (if that one does not shut down). If these batteries are 1000 mAh, it needs at least 24 hours if they are empty. But they will run warm, and throw away excessive power as heat, and they won't just like that explode! Certainly not with a charger at 20mAh. If nothing works, you can peel of the plastic and break them all apart and see which one does charge and which not, they will fit in the battery holder as well. As this series has developed more into a NiMh battery charging exercise you might find it useful to read this article on charging these batteries. http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_nickel_metal_hydride The original Charity Shop Gold or Garbage video is here /watch/s8VVD4rXOdaXV Here is an interesting review of a later version of this toy, it has the same name and comes from the same place - ToysRUs - but is clearly a newer version and you can see the large balloon type skirt /watch/McX_eE8aXlSa_ Camera ZTE Blade mobile phone Editor Serif MoviePlus Starter Edition I have created a new playlist for this Hover Glider as I am having to do a bit of a series of videos to get it going. /playlist/PLA5a2xPRSrB1CJGS7JZgf0DbAmyKiUeCz Related playlists Charity Shop playlist /playlist/PLA5a2xPRSrB14bwwnAIt54ZWwWBktc445 Radio Control playlist /playlist/PLA5a2xPRSrB13Xcquw4Ff09MQzTPjeVkI Hovercraft playlist /playlist/PLA5a2xPRSrB3zoLYIrdESCCWdx2nLq8r7 My Channel page /user/GrandadIsAnOldMan Oldest videos /user/GrandadIsAnOldMan/videos?flow=grid&view=0&sort=da Most Popular /user/GrandadIsAnOldMan/videos?sort=p&flow=grid&view=0 Newest videos /user/GrandadIsAnOldMan/videos?sort=dd&view=0&flow=grid Playlists /user/GrandadIsAnOldMan/playlists?flow=grid&view=1 I have thousands of videos on YouTube, to find one try my search guides /watch/wgcHOoOSBecSH or /watch/kRYwkwgU4jZUw My "GrandadsOtherChannel" channel is generally where I will host the videos that give extra detail or longer versions of the videos I post on my main channel /channel/UC2mp_L8RoxMyw3ewwSecZ6Q Facebook https://www.facebook.com/grandadisanoldman/ Merchandise - Check both of these links if you are interested as the prices will vary and the shipping charges will be different. http://www.redbubble.com/people/grandadiaom/portfolio http://grandadisanoldman.cottoncart.com/
