Blood flow through the heart: Learn easy memory tricks to help you understand heart anatomy and physiology! Free Quiz: https://www.registerednursern.com/quiz-on-the-blood-flow-of-the-heart-anatomy-physiology-pathophysiology/ Students must learn the blood flow through the heart for classes such as anatomy and physiology, as well as many nursing-related classes (and NCLEX). When learning the blood flow of the heart, it helps to divide it up into two sections: The left side and the right side. There are six structures on each of these sides that are used during blood circulation. The left side receives blood that left the lungs. The right side sends blood right to the lungs. In addition, the tricuspid is on the right side, and the bicuspid is on the left side. When looking at a heart diagram, the best way to remember which comes first (from left to right) is to remember the phrase, "Try before you buy" (tricuspid, then bicuspid). @iwantmyfriescrispynotburnt39816 years ago Remember that arteriescarry oxygenatedblood awayfrom the heart and veinstowards or venirspanish meaning to come id="hidden10" with deoxygenatedblood towards the heart. onlyfor the regular arteries and veins.
now with the pulmonary artery and veins. The pulmonic veins carries the oxygenatedblood return from the lungs to the heart and the pulmonary artery sends deoxygenatedblood away to the lungs.
i hope this also helps. Wonderful video and visuals (
