GOOD MORNING, ALBEMARLE I'm Amanda and I'm Noah AND TODAY IS THURSDAY MAY 29th AND IT'S NOW TIME FOR YOUR MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS. HERE'S WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND AHS: The Albemarle High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2104 will be streamed LIVE the main Albemarle County Public School website on May 31st at 1pm. In addition, DVDs of the graduation ceremony will be available for purchase. Please congratulate Matt Clay and the Academic team members.They finished 73rd out of 96 teams in the national tournament in Reston, VA over the weekend. The team finished in the top of their group playing in 15 matches over a day and a half. Do you like gummy bears? Come by room 121 or check the gummy bear jar coming around the breezeway and the cafeteria this week and next week and make a guess to help the German Honor Society raise money for scholarships. Once guess for 50 cents and 3 guesses for a dollar, and the closest guess wins the contents of our humongous gummy bear jar! The 2014 yearbook has arrived. The books are available for pickup during lunch at the fieldhouse. If you did not preorder a book, you can purchase one for $80. Supplies are limited, so get one before they're sold out. Albemarle's Key Club is a service learning program that builds on leadership and volunteering. Meet new people and have fun while helping our school and community. Applications are now out for all rising sophomores and juniors! You must apply at this time if you want to be in Key Club for next year; only new students and freshman can apply in the fall! Pick up an application outside of Mrs. Tyler's classroom, room 40. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE 2014-2015 ALBEMARLE HIGH SCHOOL DANCE TEAM? TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD IN THE AHS CAFETERIA ON JUNE 4TH AND JUNE 5TH FROM 5-7PM. SOME PAPERWORK INCLUDING A TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM IS DUE BEFORE YOU TRY OUT, SO PLEASE SEE MS.
