@spider56005 years ago It weird listening to these radio shows as i used to go into london on a near weekly basis when i was a young kid. So i' ve been in and/or walked passed the virgin megastore that used to be in oxford circus where steve bought that ps2 before presumably going to the walking down the road to the hmv near the former sega world/funland arcade and seeing that he could have got the ps2 and gta 3 for 20 less.
the fact that china town is not so much a town but a street with bright orange chicken in the windows, one pagoda and two betting shops
the mc donald' s in leicester square two minutes away from the xfm offices where they got the burgers from for karls world record breaking attempt (there should be a blue english heritage plaque for that)
thewho live in forbidden planet. Cant say what that place used to be like though but one of my favourite stores though
i have also seen that chef clothing shop that they mentioned once and possibly that antique store with the " old russian wood" and the most expensive pub in london in covent garden
that newsagents where steve said that it looked like she was trapped by snacks and had to sell her way out of it. That i believe is/was outside of tottenham court road station which i think is where hefor a laptop
there was a nice japanese restaurant ten tei that i used to be taken to, great food but some of the worst toilets i' ve ever seen. Id rather use that one in trainspotting. But we never went further down that road as much as i wanted to just to satisfy a curiosity as to what could be down there. Now that i' m older and have been down that road myself i realise why. All the sex shops, not a complaint just an observation.
if anyone wants a ricky gervais show xfm tour of london let me know lol

@PaddyRoon73 years ago Karl comes up with something to moan about, eg, david bowie changes his songs when performing live.
ricky and steve explain that it' s not true, karl ploughs on without listening to a word they said, and gets annoyed at what he' s just made up in his own head. Eg, the titanic not sinking.
i' ve been listening to this formula for over a decade and it' s still incredible. I' ll never get tired of karl
