Genre:Social Banner:R. K. Films Boot Polish is a great piece of work in Indian cinema. This is the story of about John Chacha (David) & the two kids Bhola & Belu (Ratan Kumar & Baby Naaz). Bhola & Belu were staying with her aunty Kamladevi (Chand Burque) who was a prostitute in a slum area. Kamla was very rude & arrogant in her behaviour & often beat up children. She was forcefully sending Bhola & Belu to beg outside & earn money by begging. John was very upset with Bhola, Belu & all the children who beg on the streets. He often teaches them a lesson on how to live their life. He teaches them that hands are given by god working & not for begging. Bhola & Belu get usually inspired from the words of John Chacha & they start saving money to buy a brush & a polish cream to work as a boot polisher. They had to go through lot of trouble to save money but finally they managed to buy the brush & a boot polish cream. They started working as a boot polisher instead of begging. But still John was hoping, that children are not meant to work but are meant to study in school, living their childhood in peace & calm. This film is all about how these two children cope up with all their troubles & live their life as miserably as one ever had imagined & how they ended up in a school. This film is about how John Chacha inspires these two children by their inspirational words. This film is about how he teaches a person to live a life. An award winning performance by John Chacha & those two kids directed by none other than the showman, Raj Kapoor.
