@soulbyteslast year I am about to by hynix ram 5600mhz 32gb (16x2) a die. Price is kinda fair $125.

@paolocaparros7341last year So now people should really be aiming to get at least 7200+. 7200 is very easy to reach with a die and a decent z790 board. Most of the z690 2 dimmer boards the 4 dimm boards like hero, extreme, aorus master seem to all handle at least 7200 with raptorlake and a die. The challenge really comes when you try to hit 7600-80+ where the imc quality really matters. You need a good imc on your cpu and a good a die. ...Expand 1

@3Leggedman77711 months ago Can you tell me a z790 motherboard that can max out 13900k and ddr5 overclocking for a decent price.

@myteor5576last year Wouldn' t the 2 dimm msi itx oc further for just the ram? Or is it basically just the same? And is there another mobo with a clear cmos cause resetting is a pain in the ass.

@Necronomouslast year Hmm, well, going to upgrade my pc. Did some math over here. Getting the same cost if i choose i7-13700kf with asus prime z790-a wi-fi, g. Skill ddr5 5600 did the math, got a asus rog strix rtx 3080 oc white edition. Psu are a corsair tx750m. Well, on full load both i7 and i9 doing 253w. My gpu ain' t overclocked, but at max it will do 400w. That is 653w. Then you got all fans and aio. I guess aio do like 30w on full load, every fan takes 1. 8w getting 6 of them with upgrade. So 44w together, rounded to 2w each fan, 7 in total gives 14w and 30w aio. In total watt usage 697w. I dunno if a 750w manages that. I mean, everytime the only 2 that are measured by psu and watts usage are gpu and cpu, not aio, fans, ram or other power consuming components.
but this is numbers of using full load. Overclocked gpu, turbo cpu and so on. On gaming mode my gpu only takes 356w
