The Sooriya Village - A Work in Progress, A Work of Art

The Sooriya Village, like all things, is a constant Work-In-Progress. Advancing forward towards an end goal of providing its users with a safe space for the creation and performance of ones inner thoughts - We are one big ‘work of art’. From the construction workers who lay the foundation, to artists who use the facility, we want to bring together people from all walks of life, forms of art, and levels of income to work towards enriching the minds of the youth for a better tomorrow. Located in the heart of Colombo, the facility will provide amenities such as rehearsal suits, a top gear recording studio, a tech based lecture room, a restaurant, library and research services, dormitories, tea/coffee/juice lounge, performance spaces and plenty of areas to just 'chill' A huge thank you to the super-talented Wambura Mitaru for letting us cover her original ‘A Work in Progress’ .
