Day 358 of 365: Flamingo Dreams, Left Hand Nitro, Longmont, Colorado. Purchased: Beverage Barn, Findlay, Ohio. Brewery: https://lefthandbrewing.com I picked up a variety pack of 4 different Left Hand Brewing beers, including this Nitro Blonde Ale. This one comes in at 4.7% ABV with 11 IBUs. It poured an interesting purple/pink color, with a cloudy milkshake/smoothie appearance. It did the nitro cascade thing, but due to the colors, it was a little harder to detect than it is with a stout. The head had a pink/purple hue and was absolutely beautiful. The nose was slightly funky and smelled of raspberries. As it was a nitro brew, it was smooth and silky. The taste was a bit of a let down. You got a slight tartness up front, then some berries. This was brewed with raspberries and blackcurrants, both of which I love, but this was shockingly mediocre. Given the flavors, the nitro gimmick and the fact that it was made by a damn good brewery, I had expected more. It was not terrible, but I would pass on drinking another. #ABeerADayWithTK #BeerReview #FlamingoDreams
