    @austinmayer12666 years ago If you want to do little to no work sanding the inside later it helps if you push the tool bit away from the part before you pull it out so it doesnt scratch the sides.

    @Jbrooks12196 years ago Have you ever tried to put your ring mandrel on a cordless drill lock the ring into the mandrel and then take it to the buffing wheel while the ring is spinning on the drill. I find you get an awesome polish that way. 1

    @zane66706 years ago Can you force a patina onto it? Brass and copper can patina pretty easily but nickel shouldn' t. Also, saw some brass aging stuff online which might make a cool antique brass look.

    i wonder if you could do patterning in rod stock for mokume gane and damascus, i know you can in flat stocks and it can give cool looks to blades
