How to Cook American Long Grain Rice/ طريقة طبخ الرز الامريكي / Recipe213 中國

Frying this type of rice prior to adding water make the rice taste nutty and so good rather than adding water directly to rice and cook it which will make the rice taste like boiled and not too much flavor. Ingredients:- 3 cup rice (I use American long grain white rice) 3 3/4 cups boiling water or chicken broth or half water and half chicken broth. Every 1 cup of rice 1 1/4 cup of liquid for fluffy and soft rice. For more hard rice reduce the amount of the liquid up to 1 cup. 1/4-1/2 cup oil 2-3 tsp salt or to taste Steps:- 1-Wash rice three to four time until you get rid of all the starch. 2-Soak for 10 minutes then drain very well. 3-In medium pot heat oil until it is very hot. 4-Add drained rice and fry for about 8-10 minutes until all rice cover with oil and become crispy . 5-Add salt. 6-Add boiling water and stir. 7-Cover the pot and cook on high flame until all the liquid is evaporated completely. 8-When you see holes in top, lower the heat to the lowest sitting and cook for about 10 minutes. 9-After 10 minutes fluff the rice carefully and cover again and cook for an extra 5 minutes. 10-Check the rice for doneness, It may needs more time. 10-Turn the flame off and the rice is ready to be served.
