Weight Loss Plateaus Simplified Using Bowling Averages!! Hey everyone!! Thanks for watching this week #9 video pertaining to my 12-week Sexification 2020. I've seen quite a few comments over the past few weeks from people wanting to know my thoughts on weight loss plateaus. In this video, I try to help explain and simplify the concepts surrounding weight loss plateaus through analogy and by relating everything to bowling averages. The Law of Diminishing Returns is alive and well when it comes to both bowling and weight loss, and we tried to make sure everything in this video was as simple to understand as possible. The law of diminishing marginal returns states that, at some point, adding an additional factor of production results in smaller increases in output. If you keep on aiming yourself at a weight loss goal via your thoughts and actions (nutrition, fitness, and resting / sleep habits), but never make any additional adjustments, as you creep closer and closer to your goal being aimed at, you will continue to notice decreased (diminishing) results / progress. If / when you reach this point, you've encountered a weight loss plateau. For a bowler to increase his or her average, that person must somehow improve his or her skills to be more consistent and throw more strikes and spares. Similarly, a person wanting to blast through a weight loss plateau must make adjustments to his or her nutrition, fitness, and/or resting habits to start making improvements and significant progress again. For some people too, it may just take enhanced commitment and focus. The answer for everyone is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
